This is the URL for my music-blog, over on blogger. Ideally I’ll somehow merge the two, I feel like my different cyber-spaces are getting out of hand. Defo need to launch a website-proper soon.
Ladies and gentleman, the most pathetic reaction in horror movie history.
It’s more of a shampoo commercial than a horror film.
I’M SORRY BUT LOL

Beethoven in Music by Erika Iris Simmons
Using an X-acto knife, Erika cut up actual Beethoven sheet music, carefully keeping each note and bar in place before rearranging them into a portrait of the iconic composer, as if Beethoven was bursting forth from his own composition.

For anyone who’s curious, I’ve started a sub-blog as an outlet and hub for the epic fantasy fiction I’m writing called ‘The Neural Nexus’.
Click the link above to see borrowed concept art, ideas and random bits n bobs.

you’re very welcome, I think your blogs full of many funny things, and cheers for the feedback :)

A best mate of mine, Ross, got me Ms Pac-Man as a gift for my birthday this year.
Today is my day off, and I decided to dig my playstation 2out of hibernation, and hook it up to Steve’s big TV.
I have an odd feeling of nostalgia playing this game. A bittersweet memory of living at my sister Leah’s place in 2002, which is 10 years ago now. I miss that feeling of freedom I had 10 years ago. I was given the chance (albeit for just a few months) to just exist, without too much responsibility.
I was living on Harcourt Road in Kirkcaldy, had a BASIC job, and I regularly just LOST myself in games and music, when I wasn’t working at Hunter’s Bakery in the Posting’s Shopping Centre.
The music in this game bring me a little wave of sentimental joy :)
Good times!
Later this year, I plan on gathering some materials, and with the help of my friend Ross, I’m going to take some digital snaps of myself, in bizarre home-made costumes; with a view to using the hidden-gem as cover-art :)
I like the idea of blending organic material with mechanical. I brain-stormed the idea of having me wrapped in vines and branches and leaves on one half of my body, and having it blend into a metallic half. Above is a great snap of the high-detail and close-to-the-skin kind of image I had in mind.
On the other half of my body, I think I want rusted cogs, clockwork items, gears and ribbed pipes etc. My face will be the meeting-place between the organic and mechanical, so I think that may require make-up etc.
So, here’s to the summer :)

Love this, so true. Today, I welded myself to my laptop, and researched for my story. TV off, and completely lost myself in ideas. An excellent way to escape into the weekend, after a week of call-centre madness :)

I’m using tumblr as a source of visual inspiration. Firstly for my name-in-progress “Neural Nexus” series, and also to jog my brain re: songwriting. I enjoy this Silhouette.
